Original Art,
Created with Meaning
Art has the ability to capture more than an image—it can preserve a memory, celebrate something deeply loved, transform a space, or simply make you feel something every time you look at it.
I’m Mahrjon Hafez, a Dallas-based artist creating original paintings ranging from intimate pet portraits and colorful faces to expressive animals, abstract feminine figures, and large-scale statement pieces.
For the past six years, much of my work has centered around commissioned pet portraits. I love taking a photograph that means something to someone and translating it into a painting that feels personal, expressive, and completely one of a kind. Over time, my work has expanded into a much broader range of subjects, styles, and sizes.
A Fine Art Practice
My background in scenic design has also shaped the way I approach art. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Southwestern College, where I studied theatre with an emphasis in scenic design and gained experience designing, constructing, and painting theatrical sets. Working on large surfaces gave me an early confidence in scale that I’m now bringing back into my fine art practice.
Today, I’m especially excited to create larger pieces designed to make an impact in a space—from bold animal paintings to expressive, colorful and abstract work.
Whether you’re looking for a portrait of a beloved pet, an original piece for your home, or large-scale artwork for a residential or commercial space, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
Let’s Create Something Meaningful
Inquire About a Commission
For Pet Portraits
Please send 2–3 clear, well-lit photographs of your pet. Photos should clearly show your pet’s face, coloring, and unique features. I’ll review the images and help select the photograph that will translate best into a painting.
For Other Custom Artwork
Send me a description of what you’re envisioning, along with any reference photos, inspiration images, preferred dimensions, colors, or details you’d like me to consider.
Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll review your ideas and get back to you with a price quote and estimated timeframe for completion.
If you decide to move forward, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve your commission and begin the creative process. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, prior to delivery or shipping.
Throughout the process, I’ll stay in communication with you so you know what to expect as your painting comes to life.
You can also email me at Mahrjon@gmail.com. Please include “Artwork Inquiry” as the subject line.
